Six months post-battle, depression weighs heavily on Kantaro and Suzu. When Viscount Edogawa requests help regarding a strange phenomenon, Kantaro reveals Suzu died of fever and her spirit haunts Yoko and Rosalie. Despite his failed exorcism and protective charms, Yoko accuses him of running away. Kantaro seeks advice from a childhood friend to finally exorcise Suzu. Meanwhile, Haruka visits Suzu, who thanks him for their memories and reveals her frail health. Haruka learns Kantaro is the descendant of the one who sealed him, causing distrust rooted in resemblance rather than lost memories. After reconciling, Suzu appears, gives Haruka a bottle, and departs, having delayed her passing solely to ensure the two men made peace.
