In 1925, baseball remains largely unfamiliar in Japan, with only a few men's teams. After a player dismisses women's education in favor of marriage, 14-year-old Akiko proposes forming a baseball team with her friend Koume to challenge his views. At a time when physical activity for women is heavily restricted, they encounter numerous obstacles, including recruiting players, gaining parental approval, and mastering the complexities of the sport, which proves more challenging than anticipated.
