Ep. 8: Algard infiltrates the Separate Palace and attacks Illia and Lainie

An alarm at the Separate Palace signals an intrusion, where Algard intercepts fleeing Illia and Lainie. At a post-lecture party, Moritz Chartreuse annoys Anisphia until the alarm reveals the lecture as a distraction. Anisphia and Euphyllia return while Tilty restrains guards. They find Illia and Lainie mortally wounded; Algard has removed Lainie's magic crystal to become a vampire. Euphyllia heals the victims while Anisphia confronts Algard. He claims the kingdom is corrupt and seeks a revolution. Anisphia recognizes his inferiority complex, rejects his goals, and prepares to fight her brother to stop him.
