Silky Attacks Natsumi While Mikael and Noelle Ascend the Staircase to Heaven
Sep 22, 1999Silky travels to the human world to stop Noelle from becoming an angel. Noelle wakes in Mikael’s arms as he climbs the stairs to heaven. She tries to escape his plan to use the Durian Comet. Yuusuke follows them, leaving Natsumi at the clocktower base. Silky attacks Natsumi. Noelle throws the Book of Chaos at Mikael. Yuusuke catches it and throws it further down. Silky reaches the book first. Mikael sympathizes with her, but she tears out the pages. Noelle’s family arrives to wish for normalcy. Mikael laughs, insisting they will become angels regardless. As the comet glows, Mikael, Noelle, and Silky grow wings in pain. The episode ends as Silky reaches for a candle.

Noelle and her companions transform into angels and reunite with Yuusuke before ascending to heaven.
Sep 29, 1999Silky ignites her wings, burning Noelle and Mikael through their soul link. Yuusuke fails to extinguish the flames as Natsumi spots Raphael, recognizing him as her deceased brother Fuyuki. The staircase collapses, causing a fall where Noelle’s wish to save everyone transforms her into an angel, saving Yuusuke. Mikael and Silky also become angels, though Silky weeps over the change. Noelle phases through Yuusuke, realizing they can no longer return to their human lives. Natsumi urges Yuusuke to reach her, and Noelle’s family helps him ascend. They reunite with a kiss as snow falls. The scene shifts to a Christmas party where Raphael reveals Mikael’s true test was to become an Angel’s School teacher. They return to heaven together. Post-credits, Silky enrolls in Noelle and Yuusuke’s class.
