Dr. Serizawa, an escaped convict, arrives at Cross Island with the intent to steal its underground resources. He utilizes the transforming robot Puke, which can change into any form, to facilitate his plan. After securing the resources, Serizawa intends to flee the location using a rocket. Astro Boy tracks the fugitive to Cross Island to intervene in these criminal activities and prevent the theft of the island's valuable materials.
