Ep. 1: Princess Fuse marries a dog to save her father from siege before dying by gunshot

In 1457, Princess Fuse, daughter of Yoshizane Satomi, Lord of Awa province, is forced to marry her dog, Yatsufusa. This desperate arrangement occurs when Yoshizane faces starvation under siege by the neighboring army of Lord Kagetsura Anzai. He makes a final promise to the animal to secure survival. Ultimately, both the princess and the dog are killed by a bullet fired from the gun of Daisuke Kanamari, who had arrived to rescue her. At the moment of Fuse's death, eight spirit beads from her necklace disperse into the sky, marking the beginning of the legend of the dog warriors.
