Three prominent athletes from the track, swimming, and baseball teams attempt to recruit Riku by devising separate plans to bring him into their respective clubs. Riku successfully evades each of these challenges, earning a special headband from the student council as a reward for his efforts. During this same period, Riku encounters Tsukasa for the first time when they accidentally bump into one another. He assists her in standing up from the ground. Upon making eye contact, Tsukasa experiences a rapid heartbeat and declares that Riku is her destined lover. This sudden declaration leaves Riku both surprised and embarrassed by her immediate and intense assertion of their romantic connection.
