Ep. 24: Ryuuji and Taiga confront their feelings and family issues before deciding against running away.

Minori confesses her long-held affection for Ryuuji while urging Taiga to pursue her own happiness, subsequently validating Ryuuji’s love for the latter. Taiga agrees to speak with Ryuuji after work, but their mothers intervene, causing the pair to flee. They pause at a bridge where Taiga accidentally pushes Ryuuji into the river, prompting him to declare his intent to marry her. Yuusaku contacts them to visit Ami’s house, where Minori, Ami, and Yuusaku initially oppose the plan but ultimately offer support. Ryuuji discovers his mother has left a note and his grandfather’s watch before he and Taiga board a train. However, after Taiga reflects on her life with Yasuko, Ryuuji abandons the escape. He takes Taiga to his grandparents’ home, introducing them as his grandson and bride as instructed in the note.
