Taiga and Ami enter a 50-meter swimming race where the loser allows the winner to take Ryuuji to a villa during summer break. Ryuuji encourages Taiga to train, insisting she must win for Yuusaku's sake. Taiga initially refuses but arrives late for the event. During the race, her leg cramps, prompting Ryuuji to jump in and stop her. Taiga declares she wants to win for him, so he lets her continue. When boys are pushed into the water and Ryuuji is knocked unconscious, Taiga abandons the lead to save him, forfeiting the match. Ryuuji wakes to find a distressed Taiga claiming him. Although Ami wins the bet, Taiga, Minori, and Yuusaku accompany Ryuuji to the villa.
