Laura and her parents plan to relocate, causing Bijou distress over her crush’s departure. Boss attempts to impress her by claiming Hamtaro does not need her, which backfires and angers Bijou further. Fortunately, Hamtaro remains behind, but Boss flees his home and friends out of guilt. The group faces uncertainty without him. Later, Laura walks home with Hamtaro and Brandy, where they encounter a new girl named Mindy.
