Ep. 1: Kosuke Ueki Cleans Park While Ai Mori Suspects Alien Nature Amidst Gang Threat

Kosuke Ueki cleans a park when classmate Ai Mori suspects he is an alien. After a gang threatens him, Ueki transforms a broken broom part into a tree, confirming her suspicions. This ability to turn trash into trees comes from his teacher, Kobayashi, known as Mr. K. He is a Celestial King participating in a tournament to choose the next God. Ueki must prove his sense of justice before being officially recognized as Mr. K's fighter. Those who receive such power are called Power Users. However, using these abilities against non-Power Users causes Ueki to lose an ability, referred to as a Zai in the Japanese version.
