Shinjuurou refutes this theory by noting the officer’s jacket was beside her and she had a bullet in her chest. Inga deduces the wife is the killer and asks what her husband meant to her. She reveals Kanou was a war hero and killed the officer to impersonate her, then murdered Kanou to ensure he died as a hero rather than an arrested criminal.

Accused of murdering the corpse mistaken for himself, he is digitized into a panda toy by Shinjuurou and Inga before arrest. Investigation reveals the deceased was Dr. Taku, while the injured doctor was merely a robotic puppet. The group identifies Komamori as the mastermind, who faked his death using the real Dr. Taku's body to prevent his R.A.I. from being seized by the JSDF. Following Komamori's arrest by Izumi, Kazamori transfers her consciousness back to her primary body.

Shinjuurou initially suspects the commissioner, Hakuro Shimada, but Inga’s inquiry clears him. Following a brief period of depression and encouragement from Kazamori, Shinjuurou deduces that the creator, Youko, is the true culprit. He reveals that Youko killed the men before they were transported and subsequently disclosed the location of gold bricks that Hakuro had hidden.

In this dream, Shinjuurou acts as a cameraman filming a war that never occurred. He becomes curious about the director's connection to an actress and senses a mystery to solve. As he loses his grip on reality, he discovers the director has been killed. Shinjuurou then believes himself to be the culprit responsible for the death, blurring the lines between the fabricated film and his own actions within the strange being's trap.
EP 8Rie and Izumi enter a novelist's prison spell while Shinjuurou is trapped inside.
Dec 2, 2011Rie and Izumi visit the prison where Shinjuurou is held, only to fall under the novelist's spell and become characters in his story alongside him. Inga identifies the deity Bettenou as the culprit behind this phenomenon. Kazamori uses taser handcuffs to break the spell and return Shinjuurou to reality. Shinjuurou then investigates the underlying murder, discovering that an actress killed a security guard posing as a director because she feared being cut from the film. Inga extracts the truth from the novelist, after which Bettenou vanishes.
EP 9Shinjuurou investigates a double Rinroku after a studio explosion and hacking leaks
Dec 9, 2011While Shinjuurou searches for the missing Bettenou, the hacking group Full Circle releases sensitive data about Rinroku Kaishou. During a televised appearance with rivals, an explosion injures everyone, including Rinroku, and a second Rinroku appears at Rie's home. Rie asks Shinjuurou to prove the hospitalized Rinroku's innocence. Meanwhile, Inga confronts Bettenou. Shinjuurou learns of the second Rinroku and deduces Bettenou is responsible, suspecting the real Rinroku is being used by her. He enlists a rookie Diet member to secure a testimony from the injured Rinroku regarding the data leaks.

Dec 16, 2011During a live interview with Rinroku, Shinjuurou instructs Rie to describe the entity that appeared in her home during the explosion. Shortly after being discharged from the hospital, Rinroku is killed in a car explosion. Following a conversation with Rie, Shinjuurou grows suspicious of the circumstances surrounding the incident. He subsequently gathers more information about Bettenou from a novelist, strengthening his theory that Rinroku utilized Bettenou’s power to fake his own death.

Dec 23, 2011Shinjuurou, Rie, Izumi, and others receive mysterious invitations from Rinroku and gather at a table where weapons are presented. Shinjuurou suspects the imposter at Rie's home caused the explosion alongside a Diet member and bodyguard. Rinroku appears with Inga, but Shinjuurou deduces this is actually Izumi's assistant, Hayami Seigen, using Bettenou's power. The real Rinroku had faked his death and disguised himself among the attendees. Following a fierce battle, Inga defeats Bettenou and devours her. After the incident, Shinjuurou begins recounting his story to Rie, including the origin of Inga's current body.
