Yui manages to prevent Kaori from being involved in the accident, but in doing so, she vanishes completely. Her disappearance is so thorough that it appears as if she never existed at all. Despite this, the remaining members of the Astronomy Club are unable to shake a persistent sense that something is missing from their reality. They are left with a nagging feeling that their memories or experiences are incomplete, creating an unsettling atmosphere within the group as they grapple with the void left by Yui's sudden and total erasure from their lives.
