The group reunites at the One Day cafe, where Makoto introduces Minamo to the others. Later, Minamo’s father shares a bizarre story about Makoto’s parents with him. During the walk to school, Makoto encounters a mysterious girl from the train but cannot speak to her because the group decides to go to the beach. At the ocean, this girl uses magic to attempt to drown Hinata, but the others intervene to save her. After the incident, while Makoto is collecting fireworks, he finds Minamo’s father injured. The man then vanishes into thin air, leaving the group bewildered by these strange occurrences.
