A man travels back to his hometown to attend the wedding of an elementary school friend. To satisfy his family, he arrives one day early and stays at his parents' house the night before the ceremony. While exploring his childhood bedroom, he notices that the room remains exactly as it was. During this exploration, he discovers a cassette tape hidden in a desk drawer. The tape is labeled "What Happened Today." Intrigued by the discovery, he decides to play the recording to hear its contents.
