Keita enters the Yo-kai realm after freeing the butler Whisper and obtaining the Yo-kai Watch, arriving just in time to prevent the disruption caused by Yo-kai Dismarelda and Happierre to Keita’s parents’ marriage. Whisper provides further explanation about Yo-kai as they encounter an intersection haunted by Jibanyan, a cat Yo-kai who died after being struck by a truck and seeks to prove himself to his former owner. Keita’s encouraging words help Jibanyan gain self-belief, leading to a friendship that is sealed when Keita receives Jibanyan’s Yo-kai Medal as a token of their bond.
