Yami Bakura initiates a Shadow Game that seals the souls of Yami Yuugi and his friends into their favorite cards. When a soul card is played, the individual whose soul is trapped emerges wearing the outfit of the corresponding monster. To escape this predicament, Yami Yuugi must win the duel. The group remains trapped until victory is achieved, as the only method to free them is for Yami Yuugi to succeed in the game orchestrated by Yami Bakura.
