Yuugi and Jonouchi travel on a ferry to Duelist Kingdom, accompanied by Anzu and Honda who are sneaking aboard. During the journey, they encounter several of the world's top Duelists. Most of these opponents are unfriendly toward Yuugi, specifically because he defeated Seto Kaiba. The group faces a tense atmosphere as they prepare for the upcoming tournament, dealing with the hostility of established competitors who resent the newcomer's victory over the famous Kaiba.
