Adrian reveals that claiming Exodia requires sacrificing his closest friend, Echo. Aster attempts to intervene but fails to stop the ritual. Adrian instructs the remaining group to flee and save themselves. Consequently, Echo dies, and Adrian departs riding on Exodia's shoulder, intending to become the ruler of that land.
