Shark engages in a duel against Rio, who is possessed by the Number Spirit Abyss. Meanwhile, Durbe, a herald from the Barian World, targets these ruins because of legends regarding two missing Barian Emperors said to be sleeping there, leading him to confront Yuma. Shark persists in his duel to save his sister, despite being troubled by recurring hallucinations. During the intense battle, Rio summons Number 73: Abyss Splash. The resulting impact allows Durbe and Astral to witness the hallucination that is tormenting Shark.
