Yuma and Ryouga stand wounded on their respective fields, summoning Black Ray Lancer and Utopia, cards from their earliest duel. This sight triggers fond memories for both duelists. Despite Ryouga now being a Barian and leader of the Seven Barian Emperors, Yuma believes they can still understand each other. However, Ryouga, inheritor of the Barian will, launches a merciless attack to obtain the Numeron Code. Yuma struggles to deal the final blow, unable to bring himself to defeat his former friend. The episode questions whether Yuma can reforge their bond of friendship despite their current differences and Ryouga's relentless assault.
