Zakuro Yashiki La Grenadière

A 19th-century tale of a mother and child is depicted through more than 70 tempera paintings by artist FUKAZAWA Takeshi, based on the novel by Honoré de Balzac. These works are animated by FUKADA Koji, who compiles them into a Ga-nime that captures the atmosphere of a grand estate central to the story. The experience is enhanced by a musical score that complements the visuals. The collaboration between FUKAZAWA and FUKADA aims to evoke the emotional and imaginative response typical of this form of animation.
