After Ruuji fails to return home the morning following his departure, Kotona sets out to find him. She locates him staying at the residence of the man who rescued him from a wild Zoid. Kotona identifies the Zaber Fang as Soul Tiger and recognizes its pilot as Seijuurou, who is reputed to be the greatest Zoid pilot in history. Ruuji pleads with Seijuurou to instruct him in becoming stronger. Seijuurou agrees to the request and decides to travel alongside them. This encounter introduces a legendary figure to their journey, shifting the dynamic as Ruuji seeks mentorship under the renowned ace pilot.
