A middle-aged cat fancier. He has long, narrow eyes, so when he is being quiet, he looks scary. He's had a complex about it since he was a boy. Kanda-san is the elderly man that adopted Fukumaru despite most people calling him Ugly. He likes soba noodles and fish.

Kanda-san adopted Fukumaru after presumably having lost his wife, who wanted to raise a cat since she was a young child.
