Lapis is a good-natured and kind person, especially in regards to her liege Alcryst. She has a protective streak about him and constantly, yet gently reminds him that she was tasked with protecting him, not the other way around as he tends to voice.

When news arrived at Brodia of the Divine Dragon Alear's impending arrival, King Morion sent Alcryst and his retainers to meet them. At the border, Elusia had already begun attacking Brodia, thus they were on high alert. Once Alear arrived, Lapis, along with Citrinne and Alcryst, mistook them for invaders. With the misunderstanding soon cleared, Lapis, Alcryst, and Citrinne join the Divine Dragon in fending off the invading Elusians.

Lapis hails from a quaint farming village in Brodia with her family growing yams and potatoes, despite the poor soil. Growing up in the fields gave Lapis a robust physique despite her petite appearance. She learned to fight due to the constant presence of bears in the area, and became a skilled hunter and a survivalist. To support her family, Lapis entered a tournament and won, catching the attention of the Brodian royal family. She then became a royal knight, becoming the retainer for Prince Alcryst, who she is implied to have a crush on.
