Shizu

Shizu is a young man with a great talent for swordsmanship, weilding a katana. He travels in a buggy alongside his vassal and pet Samoyed, Riku, and eventually Ti, a girl whom Riku and Shizu eventually take in.

Kino's first impression of Shizu is of a peaceful martyr, despite participating in a tournament of death.

Despite escaping the Land of the Coliseum as a child, he returns seven years later to participate in the tournament as a means to assassinate his father and end the tyranny.

Kino and Hermes occasionally meet up with Shizu and Riku during their travels, but Kino seems to only remember Riku's name.
