Simon Kagomura

Maiko's partner. Simon is cold to those he doesn't usually speak to, and can be scary at times. He takes his job seriously and understands how terrifying the world of Choujins truly is. He also believes that being a Choujin is "inconvenient by nature".

In Chapter 28, Simon shows off a much more friendly, optimistic side of his personality when helping Tokio learn how to fly. He quickly hides this soon after, but becomes closer to Tokio as a result of their training together.

Simon is a part of the Kagomura Clan, a clan of special Sword Choujin whose abilities get stronger by passing down their powers through each generation using their tattoos, which made them incredibly powerful. However, a group called the Hero Hunters, known for taking down strong battalions after the war, massacred the clan. Simon was one of the very few survivors of this attack, leaving him alone in a world of loneliness before joining Yamato Mori.
