009 Re:Cyborg

A manga based on an upcoming film, this story opens in 2013 with coordinated bombings destroying major skyscrapers in London, Moscow, Berlin, and New York. A mysterious group is responsible, causing global fear due to their unknown motives. Once, nine cyborgs had protected humanity from such dangers, but they later separated to return to their respective countries. Dr. Gilmore, their creator, has now brought them back together. Meanwhile, the former leader of the 00 Number Cyborgs, a Japanese man named Joe Shimamura, resides in Tokyo's Roppongi, living with his memories of the past erased.
