Ootsuki works as a foreman in an underground labor camp where people are trapped in debt servitude. He is granted a single day off to spend outside the facility. During this time, he is monitored by employees of Teiai Corporation to ensure he does not attempt to flee. Despite their presence, they are repeatedly confused by his ordinary and unremarkable choices for how to spend his day.
