Zen resides at a temple but has no desire to continue the family's religious work. Despite his lack of interest, he possesses a strong spiritual awareness that causes him to see unsettling ghosts. These apparitions deeply frighten him, and when they appear, he seeks solace by going to his friend Azumino.
