Afternoon Shikishou CHRONICLE 1987-2000

A four-volume anthology gathering winners and notable entries from the Afternoon magazine's Shikishou (Four Seasons Award) between 1987 and 2000, with each volume named after a season. The Spring book opens with Seiki Tsuchida's Miseinen and includes early works by Tsutomu Takahashi, Taiyou Matsumoto, Yasuo Ootagaki, Masaaki Nakayama, Hideki Arai and others. The Summer volume features Hiroaki Samura's Mugen no Juunin, Iou Kuroda, Daisuke Igarashi and Hitoshi Ashinano's Yokohama Kaidashi Kiko. The Autumn book brings Yoshitoshi Abe, Tsutomu Nihei's BLAME, Hiroki Endou and Mohiro Kitoh's Vendémiaire piece. The Winter volume closes the set with Q Hayashida, Asa Higuchi, Yuki Urushibara's Mushishi and Minoru Toyoda's Love Roma, among others.
