Agnes, a maid at a count's estate, was often mistreated due to her emotionless demeanor and lack of childhood memories. She was sent to wed Gilbeyd Deddricks, known as the Grim Reaper Duke, as a substitute for the count's daughter. Gilbeyd, however, had no interest in marriage and let Agnes remain in his home until he arranged for her to marry someone else. Contrary to the rumors, he was gentle, and Agnes gradually grew closer to him. During this time, she began to recall her forgotten past and discovered a latent ability within herself.
