A man named Yukito Kunisaki journeys across Japan in pursuit of a mysterious figure known as the "girl in the sky." He arrives at a quiet coastal town where he encounters Misuzu Kamio, a girl who dreams of flying. While staying in the town, Yukito meets various distinctive individuals and gradually learns more about Misuzu and the community she is part of.
