A freelance photojournalist named Pippa travels to the small Arabic country of Sharribai to investigate claims about the existence of harems. Upon arrival, she is wrongly accused of being a spy and arrested. The Sultan offers her freedom in exchange for becoming his lover and granting him an exclusive interview. Pippa agrees and becomes involved with him, eventually discovering a hidden conspiracy within the palace.
