Akakichi no Eleven

Shingo Tamai, a first-year student at Shinsei High School, is introduced to Tenpei Matsuki, the new soccer team coach and former Japanese national goalkeeper who won a bronze medal at the Mexico Olympics. Matsuki pushes for a high-level team through rigorous training, which initially overwhelms many players, including Shingo. Frustrated, Shingo forms his own team outside of Matsuki’s program. After a brief win, Shingo’s group is consistently defeated by Matsuki’s team, which he begins to view as unbeatable. Eventually, the two resolve their differences, and Shingo becomes the captain of Matsuki’s school team.
