To address a falling birthrate, the Japanese government selected a high school for an initiative known as the "Bright World Project." The program requires students to find a romantic partner within the summer break, with failure resulting in death. Although nearly all students succeeded in forming relationships, nine remain without partners. These nine must now participate in the deadly game, regardless of their willingness.
