Akatsuki no Fumi

In the year 2435, Takatsuki Minori invents a device capable of bringing historical figures into the present from their original time periods. His son, Akira, finds that the machine has malfunctioned without explanation, leading to the unintended summoning of Mori Ranmaru, a samurai from the 16th century.
