Kusumi Yuto, a regular high school student, lets his parakeet, Pee-chan, escape and chases it, meeting Tachibana Rino, a beautiful and admired student. After she helps recover the bird, Yuto thanks her and prepares to leave, but Pee-chan unintentionally reveals his feelings and those of Rino. Despite the awkward exposure, the two start dating. The story follows this unexpected romantic situation, where a small bird plays an unexpected role in their growing bond.
