Kayano, a wealthy man, encounters Takao, an injured man, and develops feelings for him. Moved by sympathy, he hires Takao as a tutor, only to discover that Takao has a difficult personality. Despite this, Kayano keeps him on as a teacher. A misunderstanding arises, leading Kayano’s mother to believe Takao is only interested in money, resulting in Takao being forced to leave. Years later, Takao returns to the household, now working as a lawyer hired by Kayano’s parents to handle a minor issue involving broken tea ware.
