A boy from the Korou wolf-clan named Itomaki experiences his "hunger period," a condition that can only be resolved by raising a creature called an Amegashi and consuming it after one year. Amegashis survive solely on the blood of Korous. This fantasy explores the complex bond that forms between Itomaki and his Amegashi, highlighting a relationship built on mutual dependence and a deep emotional connection that challenges the limits of their species.
