A character named Kuroki is abruptly transported to another world, where he is summoned by the demon king, Modes. The demon king's domain is in danger of collapsing due to the actions of the hero. Despite Modes' terrifying appearance, he kneels before Kuroki and begs for his help. Kuroki agrees to assist the demon king after a series of unexpected circumstances lead to his decision.
