Miho, who struggles with forming friendships, attends an alumni gathering with the hope of seeing his former friend Hiroya. The two lost contact for unknown reasons, but Miho wants to move past a brief infatuation and reconnect. Hiroya reveals he was once married and later divorced, a revelation that shocks Miho. Feeling overwhelmed by the unfamiliar side of Hiroya, Miho leaves the event, only to be pursued by Hiroya.
