Ao no Haha

Itoko, preparing for her marriage in the village of Migomori, encounters a doll that resembles her. Haunted by childhood memories, she becomes curious about the doll’s origin and the meaning behind the phrase "mother of blue" used by locals. As she investigates, Itoko senses she is being drawn into a disturbing custom that threatens to trap her in another traumatic experience.
