Ono Tsubasa was inspired as a child by a trumpet player she saw during a Shirato baseball game broadcast. To pursue playing the trumpet, she enrolls at Shirato High School. There, she meets Yamada Daisuke, a member of the baseball team who plays catcher. The two encourage each other as they work toward their shared goal of reaching Koushien.
