Two high school girls, Natsu and Kumiko, start playing the MMORPG "Apocalypse Online" after being inspired by their friends. Upon logging in, they receive a rare item—a set of marriage rings that grant them special bonuses when they are close. Natsu treats the rings as a humorous game feature, but Kumiko quietly wishes the connection they represent could be real.
