A fallen celestial being created a kingdom in the abyss, nurturing souls lost there, and sought to build a beautiful world. After an immense passage of time, the ruler of this realm, nearing the end of his life, used his final strength to produce two heirs: a red prince and a blue prince. The story is told from the perspective of devils in a world called Naraku, where devils are the dominant force and angels from heaven are their adversaries. The king of Hell ruled with the principle that only the strongest would survive. He placed his hopes on his twin sons, Alex and Platina, who were raised and trained separately by their respective mentors—Sapphirus for Alex and Jade for Platina. Despite sharing the same blood, the brothers were strangers to one another. Alex resists fighting, but Platina appears willing. A boy named Beryl seems to know much about them, yet remains enigmatic. Sapphirus and Jade also appear to hold hidden knowledge, and both princes experience visions and voices in their dreams.
