A young teacher named Daisuke Shiro works at a rural school despite his parents' disapproval. The villagers and their children initially reject him as an outsider. Over time, his compassionate approach helps him connect with his students. They prepare together for a village sports day, growing closer through their efforts. Meanwhile, children from migrant worker families, who have been ignored because their parents are often away, arrive in the village and create disturbances. Daisuke faces the challenge of addressing the tensions between the groups.
