Asu no Shi ni Kata

A child orphaned and near starvation is saved by a woman who gives him shelter and care. Grateful for her kindness, he regards her as his mentor, yet secretly desires for her to end his life in a graceful manner. The story explores the complex relationship between the two as their differing perspectives on life and death come into play. Originally featured in the Jump SQ.RISE 2018 Autumn issue, it was also a semi-finalist in the May 2018 RISE Newcomer Manga Award.
