Babel

By 2050, all books exist in a digital format within a virtual library. Oreson's father works to repair corrupted digital texts. One day, three hooded individuals deliver a chained book to their home. A mysterious man encourages Oreson to open it despite his father's warnings. As Oreson does, a black light engulfs his father, and Oreson loses consciousness. Awakening later, he finds everything gone. As an adult, he trains to repair the digital library, seeking answers about the past and the nature of the black light that is now erasing data.
