Thirteen children from different parts of the world are sent into space for a New Year celebration in 2010. A minor malfunction causes a 13-hour communication blackout with Earth. Upon their return, a series of murders and disappearances occur among the former crew members. Eight years later, one of them, Bono U. Meyer, a highly intelligent individual with an IQ of 240, finds himself entangled in a situation where those around him begin to experience a gradual descent into madness.
